Does anyone the the ingredient difference of the hypo formulas? I had a mother tell me about the milk protein the Nutramigen.

Without comparing labels, I'm no help. Noah's on Alimentum for suspected MSPI, and I know there is milk protein in it, but supposedly, most kids who are intolerant can still handle it because it is fairly broken down. I think this is the case...

I think that the milk protein amounts are the same in both the Nutramigen and Alimentum. Jackson is intolerant to milk protein and he takes and tolerates the Nutramigen wonderfully. The only difference that I know of in the two is that the Nutramigen has corn syrup solids in it and the Alimentum ready to feed does not.
I hope that this helped!:iconbigg:

It has been a few months for us, but when Iain was on nutramigen and they thought he may have milk issues they told us to go to neocate which apparently has no milk, milk ingredients, casein or whey in it. If I recall correctly our nutramigen had some casein (a milk protein) in it although it is well broken down and not supposed to cause issues it still can with sensitive children.

I am going to move this to the allergy board as there are more there who are able to help with this specific question.
