Hi can anyone tell me the best way to clean the Nebulizer?

What is it that you're trying to clean? The machine itself shouldn't get dirty. I'd just wipe it off with a damp cloth if you got something on it. The tubing shouldn't get dirty either. I wash out the face mask and medicine reservoir with hot soapy water.

Hi Lesley I was asking about the mask and the medicine resivoir. I thought I read somewhere that you should clean it with vinegar and water?

I've never been told that, but that sounds like it would work. Vinegar is useful for cleaning all kinds of things.

I just used dishsoap and water every night, and then rinsed it very well. You may call the pharmacy...

They do recommend cleaning the parts with equal parts of water and vinager. Letting the parts soak usually will do the trick.

I heard vingegar and water as well, but I couldn't get over the vineger smell that was left in the plastic so I used dish soap and rinsed real well.

I was told by the distributor to stick the mask and medicine resevior in the dishwasher.......I put it in the nipple holder on the top rack every time I run it......and then I rinse it everytime I use it. I hope this helps?

We tell all of our patients to rinse the nebulizer cup with clear water and let air dry on a paper towel after each treatment. Wash with hot soapy water, rinse well, and air dry each night. And once weekly, soak in equal parts white vinegar and water for 30 minutes. If you don't like the smell, wash with hot soapy water after the vinegar. Also, check your compressor's filter monthly. Most don't have problems, but some are "fiber" type filters (like your furnace) and they should be replaced if dirty.

Kim, we clean ours with dish soap and warm water and I let it air dry on a piece of paper towel.
