Hi Everyone,

I am in te process of trying to eliminate foods that don't agree with Parker. Last night he had spagetti and the only new ingrediant was light evaporated milk. He was fine and was a little restless last night but woke at 5 really unhappy and after his bottle he was better. His poo though was quite runny for him and smelly.

He does have a reaction to cows milk (as eczema) but not goats milk- do you think that the evap milk is linked to te restless night and bad poo, or should a reaction have happened sooner?

Thanks Rachel

Isn't there cow's milk in it? Sorry...I don't have a can around to check the ingred. It could also be the higher fat content in it.

Hmmmm...:smt102 I would assume so, as I think evaporated milk is actually made from cow's milk...? Just like Janette, I don't have any in the cupboard to check.

Let me see what I can find online...

Rachel--according to the site "Dr. Gourmet", evaporated milk is simply cow's milk w/ 60% of the water evaporated out of it. Here's the link:

I hope this helps!

I thought that just a small bit wouldn't hurt. But I think it has- It sounds like evaporated milk is then stronger than real milk as the water content has been removed. Didn't know that. Thanks all
