Not too happy with ped. right now! I called a couple of weeks ago to see if she would switch Josiah to prevacid solutabs because he was giving me a hard time about the powder type...she said no, due to the risk of choking. Over the week-end, he refused to take the prevacid...I had to force it (very hard to force two tablespoons of liquid, by the way) and he ended up gagging and spitting up most of the med. So...we have had a not so good week-end because he never got a full dose of med.

Called the ped. this morning to ask again about switching him...She chose to switch him to Axid. :mad: Not too happy with this. Axid is not a PPI....he was on zantac before,and it did no good (he did pretty well on the prevacid....I guess I'm scared to try anything new!)

So, my question is...anyone else on Axid? And what can I expect as far as side effects or effectiveness?
