Jaxon's G tube appears to be leaking thru his clothing quite frequently.. What is considered a normal amount of leakage?

My sons gi site leaks sometimes more than others. I am sorry but dont remember what type of feeding tube your son has. I was wondering if it is a button have you checked the balloon lately to see if there is enough water in it? Justins will leak more when his balloon needs water in it and when filled usually does help.

Do I remember correctly that he just got his G tube in the last week or two? Daniel's still leaked quite a bit at that point. He'd soak through a pad and his shirt would get a bit soggy. We were concerned about it but couldn't get into the GI, so we just had our regular ped check it out.

Noah's always leak when they are new stoma's for the 1st several weeks. It probally wouldn't hurt to check the volume of the ballon, if of course your GI has you do that or take him in and have them do it. I know all GI's are different. Our GI has us change the button's at home, in fact we have even had the ever so joyful experience of pulling G/J's before YUMMY :) !!!!!
