It isn't zegerid you are referring to, is it?
This is the newest reflux med I am aware of
It's the immediate release form of omep. (generic prilosec)

I am not sure if your talking about this but Zegerid is a new ppi. It is a true powder suspension. It comes in packets and you mix it with water. It doesn't have the little beads so you don't have that to worry about. Plus you can give it without regards to meals. My son is on it and I love it. It is the same med as Prilosec but its a new form. You can check out their site.

I have been around a while and I've seen this med pop up recently...I THINK it is similair to zantac/pepcid and NOT a PPI

Axid has been cropping up a lot lately. I do not know of any new meds yet, but could be wrong. Maybe you read a post of mine last year that said prevacid is going to be available in solutab form here in Canada sometime this year? We do not have it yet.

I will have to ask Owen's ped if they have the Zegerid here, sounds so much easier to give to him.
Or maybe they can even order it.
