What type of bottle do you use with your baby and did you find it made a difference??

I use Dr Browns and I think it made a difference although it's hard to tell because at the point we started using them we were switching formulas and everything just trying to make her more comfortable. I do think they help although I havent tried regular bottles or any other kind since we made the switch at 1 month old.

Hope that helps!

We have only used Avent bottles and have never had any issues.

My son is still breastfed but takes the playtex premium nurser bottles with milk sometimes and also takes three bottles a day of 3 parts water, one part juice. He/we love the playtex premium nurser. However, one of the reasons I chose it is because it's supposed to be compatible w/BFing...it comes w/the drop-in insert bags so you can expell excess air, etc. Just wanted to add my two cents.

We used Avent at first, but switched to the Dr Brown's at about 6 weeks. They made a huge difference for Joshua. He was less fussy from gas and seems to burp on his own, without being patted! I think that they are the best and would recommend them to everyone!

Hint: If there is a Burlington Coat Factory/Baby Depot in your area, get them there. They have the best prices by far!

We started with playtex nursers, then avent, then went to gerber nuk then to evenflow vented ones then to playtex nursers agian. I liked the gerber nuk bottle as it was cheap and Sam really liked the nipple, but when we had to thicken the bottles so much I couldn't get the formula into the nipple. It would take forever for the formula to get to the nipple so I switched back to the nursers as I could push the formula into the nipple and he could eat better. I have also found that he takes more as less of his formula sticks to the side of the bottle.

I use Dr. Browns and Jackson won't burp after he eats, I guess he has no gas with those. But it does come out the other end!

I used avent and he didn't like it at first he used to fight the bottle all the time but cause I was breastfeeding it was only the occasional bottle we had fights with, I had avent from my last baby and he loved them do I purseveered.

My sister used the Dr Browns and in hindsigh if I knew what he was going to be like with a bottle I probably should have used them. You hear a lot of good reviews about them.

I use Dr. Brown's, too. I did find that once we started using them, she never needed to burp and wasn't gassy. Also, the flow was always perfect. She went from taking 45 mins. to finish a 4 oz. bottle to only taking 10 mins. to finish the same amount. This was at 4 mos. I'm a BIG Dr. Brown's fan now. It's made a huge difference for us!

I switched to Dr. Brown's when Noah was completely refusing the bottle at 4 months, and he latched on much better with them. Then, when he got bad again, I tried switching back to Playtex Nursers to see if that would help, and he couldn't even suck out of them. Dr. Brown's are the best. A little inconvenient to clean, but Noah loves them, so I do too!

Sarah likes the Dr browns as well. We use a number two nipple and standard bottle. Sarah didn't like the wide neck. We tried so many nipples when Sarah was starting to refuse bottles and the Dr browns seemed to work the best for her. We also tried te Haberman for awhle which she also seemed to like. She still needs plenty of burping though but I think it's because she doesn't create a great suck.

We use the Dr. Browns wide neck bottles and I love them. Before he was born I bought a ton of Avent bottles but he was very gassy and would burp every 1/2 oz. I think the Dr. Browns definately helped with the gas and the nipples were not as hard as the Avent ones and he seemed to latch on better!

We use the Dr. Brown's bottles for Austin. They seemed to really help when we switched although it is hard to say since that was also during our formula change and adding cereal. They do seem to cause a lot less burping which also helps in the puking department.

When we had Sam's last swallow study the speech therapist tried to get Sam to suck out of different nipples, but he wouldn't even latch on. She was trying to see if he wouldn't aspirate on different nipples, but we couldn't even get him to take them. Kinda funny how picky they get!
