Well, after much battle and problems, (I will spare everyone), we are doing well on Earths Best Rice Cereal from a spoon as a re-introduction back into solids.

I have heard that alot of fruits and veggies out there make refluxing worse.

Which first fruits and veggies are pretty mild for a silent refluxer to start with after moving on from the yucky plain Rice Cereal. I plan on going organic (probably sticking with Earths Best) since Gerber made her reflux something awful.

I started out with Apples then went to Pears and Banana's and we stayed there for about a month and a half or so and then tried veggies... Squash was the only one she could eat for awhile and then we did sweet potatos and then peas. I have since done the fruits mixed, fruits and cereal with cinnamon and the Apples & Cherries mixed. I tried peaches and that was a big no no... her reflux got wicked mad! lol

Anyway, I think the safest one is Applesauce to start out for fruits and Squash for veggies - the squash is very thin like the fruits, not as thick and pasty as the other veggies I noticed and I think thats why it worked for my daughter. She couldtn handle the thicker stuff at first, not even cereal. The texture was too much for her.

Good luck! We use Beechnut by the way.

Catherine lived on rice, squash and bananas for several months. Everything else gave her horrid eczema and a burned butt. However, she was fine with all the other fruits and veggies when they were re-introduced. She has still only had plain fruits and veggies or combos of plain fruits and veggies. No "meals," no "desserts," no cat-food-like meat. Something's given her an eczema flare, but it's manageable and behind her ears so it's not unsightly. I think it's soy; that did it before when she was younger.

Which of the fruits and veggies tend to be too acidic for our GERDlings?

What exactly does it look like behind her ears?

Dry and scaly. Skin flakes off if touched or with light scratching. Red underneath the scales. Will crack and bleed when it gets bad enough.

Could just be dry skin. It is the weather for it.
