The ped put Jeremy on 0.6 ML of Zantac twice a day last Wednesday (he weighs 11.10 lbs and is 10 weeks old). I haven't seen any improvement yet. How long till you saw any difference. I know that every baby is different but I am wondering at which point I should call the ped if there's still no difference. I know that Zantac doesn't always work.

It's always good to give meds two weeks to really decide if it's working. I cant remember exactly how long it was for my daughter, but I think it was about a week at least before i noticed any difference.

I'd say if you dont see a difference in another week he made need a bigger dose or a different med.

Lauren was put on Zantac (2.0ml 3x day) the first of October. It did not start working for about 3 weeks, our ped GI said to give it 4 weeks. It has helped us tremendously, although it doesn't work for every child.

our med took 1 1/2 weeks to take affect. It didn't help completely so we added prevacid.

thank you all so much for your replies. It sounds like I haven't given it enough time yet. It is so hard to just sit and wait while the baby seems to be in pain. This site has been amazing :).
