We have PJ on Zantac and he has been on the same dose since he was 2 months old - he is now 5 months. He has gained probably 4 pounds since then. Last appt PJ was fine but I knew we wouldn't see the doctor for 2 months so I asked what to do if he started to need more. He told me had started PJ on a very high dose to begin with so he should still need the same amt. Well - whatever! - but he also said hopefully we can begin to wean at six months so we'll just leave the dose. SO I was actually optomisitic. For the past week he has obviously had more pain with his reflux so I decided to start giving just a little more Zantac a day and call the Dr on Tues (after the holiday) to tell him how it went and ask for Prilosec. I am wondering what dose he should be getting at 17-18 pounds. Just so I know if the dr is blowing me off or what.......

15 milograms twice a day for Eli. He was taking that at 2 1/2 though. I would definitely try some mylanta supreme to see if it helps :)

Evan has been on 10 mg 1x/day since being diagnosed at 19 months. There are days where I seriously wonder if the dose is still high enough.

My little guy is on 18mg per day of Losec and has been since he was about 10 months old.
