Does anyone know how much Mylanta I should give Connor? He weighs 15pounds 8oz and is 5 months old. Also which is better Mylanta or Mylanta Supreme?

I think at his age I was giving about 5ml 2 to 3 times per day, only when he was in pain. We don't have mylanta supreme but we have mylanta extra strength (which is double the strength so half the dose). I recommend normal mylanta, it would be easier to give too much of this I think. If in doubt ask the Pharmacist.

The supreme tastes so much better though, Cherry Supreme is very popular with the refluxers.

I just posted this for Jusy as well. Catherine's GI told me a few days ago to give her 1/2 teaspoon of Mylanta as needed. She's 17 lbs and 11mo.

I just replied to Judy's post too, Kaitlyn is about 16lbs now and she has been getting Maalox 2-3mL (1/2 teaspoon) no more than 4 times a day since she was about 9lbs.

I'm not sure if Mylanta is any different, but I would call the Dr or Pharmacist and ask.

At that weight, Noah took 1/2 tsp. of Maalox up to 4 times per day. Now, at almost 20 pounds, he can have a full tsp. I think the doses are similar for Maalox and Mylanta.
