Can zantac make reflux worse? Jaidon just started his zantac last week and he is vomiting more.

Has Jaidon had any changes to his diet during the week, or is he teething or coming down with a cold?

he has a cold and may be teething.

Our son had the same reaction. He was way worse with it. We called the GI and he immediately switched us to prilosec, which worked really well for us. So, yes, Zantac can make it worse with some kids.

So Brittany, it sounds like it could be the teething, the cold, the Zantac, or a combo. of all 3.

It definitely could be that cold. Cady always got more pukey when she had a cold. Not so much when she was teething. I don't know about Zantac, though, so I'm not sure.

Wow, poor Jaidon is getting hit with all sorts of things at once. Colds always throw us off since they decrease Noah's already non-existent appetite, so its so hard to tell whats really causing the problem. I guess I'd just keep an eye on things, but don't hesitate to take him in to see the ped if you're getting worried.

I took Jaidon to the dr and they seem to think it is the cold so I have 2 prescriptions for him...he is so miserable though.

I hope he gets over the cold quickly! Colds just seem to worsen the whole reflux thing!
