Connor went to the Ped today and she thinks the reason he is fighting his bottles is most likely because he is in pain from the Reflux. She upped his dose of Zantac slightly from 1ml to 1.2ml's four times per day. Anyway my question is does anyone know how long Zantac is effective for? I'm trying to figure out when the best times to give it to him are. Right now I have been giving it to him about every 4 to 5 hours. I use to give him a dose in the middle of the night but he started sleeping through the night (NOT ANYMORE....) so I tried to get it in before bed at 7pm. I think thats why he may be refusing his morning bottle because he's going from 7pm to 7am without a dose.

We give Parker zantac only twice a day, but maybe because if the higher dose it may work better. Connor actually gets more zantac than Parker in a day so it should be working. I do think Parkers needs to be upped again though.

We just changed Noah's Zantac from 2mg/day to 4mg/day. I give him 2mg in the morning at 7am & the other 2mg at 7pm. He doesn't refuse a feeding not that he ever did. He would just cry & took an hour or two to get one bottle down. That was before the Zantac. I'm only on day 3 of the increased dosage & have not seen much of a difference yet with his congestion but his fussiness has certainly decreased. I'm curious as well to find out how long its effective for.
