Hi all. I haven't posted in a LONG time. Zachary was diagnosed with GERD on day two of life. He was born 3-21-05. He is now 9 months old and doesn't have regular sleep patterns AT ALL. He is up at least 3 times per night. Usually around midnight, then around 3 ish and then he is up at 5:30. Sometimes I don't have to go in. Other times I do and I have to find his binkie and soothe him.
My other son who is going to be 3 on Friday also had reflux and was a spitter, but was never this bad as far as sleeping goes. I am pregnant with baby #5 and in desparate need of a good night's sleep.

Well, it seems that we all seem to have these issues. My boys are now almost 1 and last night was the first time they slept through the night in about 3 months. We have had really disturbed sleep patterns of late, and Matthew was doing this crying for hours on end at nights.. oh, so tiring. BUT his prilosec dose was doubled and bingo! we have settled nights now. **phew**
Sleep interruption and deprivation is HORRID, and I know how you feel ((HUGS)). I'm not really sure there are too many solutions to be honest. DO you think you could do CIO??
BTW, nice to see you back and congratulations on baby #5!!!!!!

Congrats, on the new baby!
Unfortunately, with refluxers they don't sleep very well... could he possibly need an increase in meds or something? I really don't have too much advice if you are trying all the things that can be tried because its just something we all go through, the poor little guys!

Is there any chance that your dh could get up one of those times during the night? Perhaps the first one so that he could then have an uninterrupted sleep for the 2nd half of the night? How about just on the weekends, could he do the night wakes so you can at least catch up on sleep?
Sleep deprivation is murder. I was telling my therapist last week that for 6 months I did not sleep more than 2 hours in a row - ever. Her eyes got as wide as saucers. Until you've done it, there's just no way to understand how bad sleepless nights are.:(
