How much for a 17 lb child, and how long will a dose last? Revelations came during the two-hour screaming session last night (sarahh, you'll be able to relate); I'll post more about that later. Need to get ready for work with barely open eyes.

Hi Lesley... sorry to hear about your screaming session... we go through these too... fun fun. Anyway, the Dr has kept Kaitlyn on Maalox 2-3mL no more than 4 times a day and it seems to work for her. She is almost 16lbs so I would imagine it is very similar to the Mylanta but I know there are mom's here that use it and have a better idea.

You poor thing, you need some sleep...

**Edited to say: I forgot to mention that she started getting this dose at about 9lbs and the Dr have said to keep it the same through her gaining, just so you know.

We were told no more than 10ml of Mylanta a day, but that was when he was only about 11#. I just pour it into his mouth from the cap now in the middle of the night, so I'm not sure how much he gets. 3-4 capfuls a night. lol

I give about 5ml two or three times a day when he is bad- mylanta regular strenght that is.

I have no idea baout the mylanta... but ((HUGS)) with the crying match. I am SOOOOOO over those!!!
