I gave my 4mth son his Zantac efferdose 1/2 tablet at 8:30am and for some reason my husband thought he would be helpful and give him his medicine also. So he got the other half tablet at 10:30am for a total of 25mg. So, should I just skip his 3:30pm dosage? He is 16.5 lbs so I know he is taking under the recommended dosage for his weight. His peds office is closed and I don't want to call in as an emergency b/c it's not.

Call a pharmacy; they'd know what you need to do.

My hubby has done that with Evan's meds. before too. I just skipped the next dose. What did the pharmacist say though?

Sorry, I do not know how much of an overdose that would be as there is usually a lot of play with the zantac anyway. As the others have said, call a pharmacy and they will tell you in an instant. Often I call them before I call my ped for advice.
