Is it possible to sweeten Neocate or other similar formulas as they taste a bit yuk? I know there are flavor sachets, but can you use grape juice, sugar or syrup? Has anyone got definitive advice on their GI on this?

I have no advice but I just wanted to mention that I found my daughter prefers her Alimentum over regular formula. We just gave her Soy for a few days and she didnt like it as much as her Alimentum and was having reflux issues with it. She would scream and cry every time she ate it... I gave her Alimentum back and she sucks it down like it's her favorite... no screaming or head turning...
Anyway, I hope you get some answers! :)

I have to flavor Noah's Alimentum with 1 oz. of banana juice per 5 oz. bottle. BUT, my GI called this my last resort and said it is not ideal and he has never had anyone have to do this. Noah REFUSES all bottles and each one is a unique, diasterous struggle. I still can only get in maybe 15 oz. per day this way, but we HAD to do it. If she's taking the formula, I would not start a habit such as this one. We only did this since Noah WOULD NOT drink any other way.

I personally wouldn't use straight sugar or syrup. As a last resort, I tried some apple juice, but it didn't really work.
I got some good tips in a similar post I started last week. It was about mixing in real food like avocados, etc. I'll bump it up to the top for you.

I agree with Melissa--definitely no sugar or syrup. Maya might be too young for juice anyways. Have you tried a different formula? Maybe she'd like a different hypo.
