Ok Kaitlyn had a couple bottles yesterday with no cereal (see my post in the "Bad day" forum for why) and this morning she just pooped and it was mucosy. Maybe it was only a one time thing but I'm still curious to know what might cause it.
I'm going to watch when/if she poops later and see if it's the same...
So what causes Mucos in stool??

Michele, I don't have any answers for you, although I do think sometimes antibotics cause that. I went to do a search for you and found a site called the poopreport.com and then clicked on fun with feces. No I am not bored; I have a million, million things to do. But I guess I needed this.
I am an extremely serious person and don't laugh much. Well this really got me laughing hysterically, so I wanted to share...

it is a long read but very funny.

Viruses and infections can cause mucous in the stool. If she is getting sick, or has a bug it can be from that. Have you tried any new foods lately?

Any irritation causes the mucous in the stool. Check out any new foods, watch for a virus, etc.

Poor baby! Tis the season for viruses, unfortunately. We are now battling a cold in the house and I hope it stops at that.
I hope it is a short bout for Kaitlyn and her Mommy.
Bethany has really, really mucous-y stools sometimes; however, we were told that it was due to a milk sensitivity...? I had no idea viruses, etc. could cause this, too!
I'm so sorry Kaitlyn is having this problem, but so glad you brought it up--I learned something new today!
