I was up to change DS 3 times last night. And the 2nd time he was up for almost 2 hours because he isn't used to all the commotion.
Do they slow down or do I just have to wait till he starts solids? We have been adding rice at night which helpps tremendously w/refluxing....could it be causing the frequent poops? I thought it was supposed to slow them down!

I just saw this post... did you just start the Alimentum? My daughter was only going once a day even on Alimentum until she started solids... then started going twice a day.
If you just started the Alimentum give it a week or two and it should be normal... I never had issues with her stool though with it.

Catherine poops 2-3 times a day on Alimentum. Because it's pre-digested, it goes through their digestive tracts more quickly.

We used nutramigen, which is supposed to be the same and Iain really did not change much, just a bit more frequent.
Your child's system will get used to it and do bear in mind that a poop that looks like mashed potatoes or applesauce is considered the normal. Sometimes people who are used to rock solid stools are taken aback by such soft stools when they are indeed normal.
How is it going now? Are they as frequent? I would hope in time the the stools will be more regular and perhaps not too often.

Samantha poops 2 or 3 times on Nutramigen. But with the Alimentum, when we tried it, she pooped like 5 or 6 times, and it was really watery and green. We haven't been back to Alimentum since!
