Hi everyone,
Thanks for the support and all the advice!
Surgery went well and we haven't seen any major complications. The surgeon said it couldn't have gone any better. She was under for just a little over 3 hours. The only problems we had was a bulging fontanel(probably from so much fluids during surgery) it is better now, and we had the usual reactions from the alimentum.
We finally convinced them to switch her to neocate last night before we left and Last nights and todays feeds went great!
She was very sore and needed the morphine and T-3 up until we left. She is doing good at home with the T-3, motrin, and simethicone.
She is getting 3 bolus feeds(60cc's over an hour) and then we feed her 30cc's an hour continuous for 15 hours overnight. We are mixing it to 24 cal. She is also allowed to Nurse whenever she wants. It is usually only a few times a day for short intervals.
We were already able to give her a bath today and she is doing very well at home. She is smiling and playing and pretty much back to normal except for a little pain. We have her hooked up to a farrel bag to help vent her. Not sure how long we will have to do that, we will ask the home health nurse on Monday.
She also pulled her I.V right as we were getting ready to leave. It bleed everwhere. Not sure how she managed that since it was taped very well to one of those boards.
I am tired and happy to be home. She didn't sleep well even with the meds while we were there. She did sleep pretty good last night except for around pain med time.

Thanks again! Need to get, time for another feed.

So how long does recovery take?? :( Hannah has been pretty miserable.
We had to take her back yesterday because she wouldn't stop crying. They put her on Vicodin which is helping. They did an x-ray and it showed a fair amount of trapped gas. We are giving gas drops and venting her, and giving her glycerin suppositories. Other than the pain it isn't too bad. They said everything else looked fine. She has never wretched once. She hiccups a lot though, which used to be her reflux sign when she was younger. She is tolerating the feeds well and we are weaning off of the long overnight and doing more bolus feeds. She has also eaten a little bit of baby food with the therapist without too much trouble. She also gained 6ozs in 2 days!! Her biggest gain ever. She is almost 12 lbs now.
I am not complaining really just a minor vent. I just wish we could help with the pain more. Other than that it all seems to be doing well.
Thanks for all the responses!! I will keep you updated with her progress.

It took Eli a good 6 weeks, and it took a while for the wretching to start, hopefully it won't for you guys!

Weird, we had hiccup problems post op too, I swear its related, My theory is that that muscle gets moved around during surgery and as it goes back it causes hiccups...   Not sure if its a good theory or not because when I called the surgeon about the hiccups he blew me off so I was on my own with that one.

Gas bloat, get used to that one, Eli gets daily stomach aches because of trapped gas, it is very common.

She will start feeling better and better though, Hang in there!
