View Full Version : Natural Doctor
adarobayo 10-25-2005, 06:13 PM Hi All,
Just wanted to tell everyone some great news. After many months of pain and suffering with my little girl Gabriella, we are finally seeing the light. We started taking Gabriella over to a Natural doctor and let me tell you what a difference it has been. I know most people don't believe in doing things naturally but it has totally worked for us. We have been so educated on this reflux disease I am bursting with excitment. My little girl has been 100% tube fed for 9 months of her life (she is going to be a year old next month). She is now eating solids at least 3 times a day and has not needed to take any medication in over a week. We refuse to have to do any surgery or continue to give her medication so we were desperate to try anything. I am glad that we kept an open mind about things because we are finally strating to see a difference.
Hope everyone is doing well and hope to hear from you soon.
Ada
By all means, please give everyone some more information about the treatments your daughter has been receiving, I'm sure everyone would love hear more specifically what's been helping. Glad to hear she is doing so well.
Also, please encourage your naturalist to contact me, I'd love to get some information from him/her for the website if they are so successful at treating reflux/GERD.
Congrats!
adarobayo 10-26-2005, 10:42 PM Hi Roni,
I wasn't sure if anyone would get offended by Natural medicine. But I will encourage everyone to get to a recommended natural doctor before doing anything. There are many natural doctors and each of them study their patients differently. This doctor studies the patient's blood. He simply gives you a very small pinch and gets a very tiny amount of blood and puts that blood under a microscope right in his office. He records everything that he is seeing on a tape and you see what he is looking at as well through a small tv in his office. He has a camera attached to this microscope and the image shows up on this tv.
To make a long story short he found in Gabriella that she does not digest protein very well and that she has the Candida yeast in her system becuase of all the antibiotics that she has had in the past. He simply gave her some enzymes which is especially for children and we give her a very small amount every four hours right through her G-tube (it's a powder and we mix it with a little bit of water). He says that he still has some things he needs to do with her like giving her a candida cleansing. He did not want to do to much at one time becuase her stomach was so bad. He has lowered the amount of powder that goes into her formula and subsituted the extra calories and fat with Duocal.
I have also looked into the book Natural Cures "they" don't want you to know about by Kevin Trudeau. He has infomercials all the time and he pretty much has said the same thing that this natural doctor has said. This author hits you with lots of things that you can not believe its amazing.
I will ask him if he can give me any other suggestions on acid reflux, but I am sure that he will tell me that he must check the patient first because he would need to see what the cause of the reflux is.
I will keep you all posted on his next step with Gabriella.

Yes, Please elaborate!
Janette 10-27-2005, 11:02 AM That sounds interesting, Ada! There was another poster a while back who poseds similar things about the Candida yeast in her child's stomach, and about the enzymes her child had to take to improve things, including the reflux. Perhaps she'll read this post and get back to you, as I'm not sure who it was anymore.
Leigh 10-29-2005, 09:07 PM Well, I give bacteria to the kids because of the anitbiotics and did a lot of research regarding candida. It is a fascintating topic and often overlooked. The reason for not going crazy with the candida treatment is to prevent the explosions of the candida and their subsequent toxin release making your wee one very sick. I see your naturalist is taking things slow and that can be a good thing.
If I remember correctly, it was CDIF you were recalling, Janette and it was poor Alexys who suffered from that.
Cam's sahm 04-12-2006, 10:48 PM Wow...Honestly though, It seems as if Natural doctors are more effective than western. My best friends mom was diagnosed with severe reflux last October when Cameron was born. Her name is Carol. Her kidneys and liver were failing her and she was going to die unless she got a new liver. She went to an "energy doctor" for loss of better words. She held a copper rod and the doc asked her questions about her body. This is where it gets weird. Her subconscious answered sending electromagnetic pulses through the copper, into a computer which evaluated the energy level. Diagnosed her and prescribed herbal and mineral remedies. She was 100% and better within 3 months of the western diagnosis. She was so affected by this outcome that she has since quit her accounting business of 27 years and became a licensed technician. She is willing to fly down to me and test Cameron for $250.00 I've known her all my life and she is not COO COO by any means. If anything she was a very cynical person. Just thought I'd add my knowledge of Alternative Medicine/Natural Healers to this thread. I think I'm going to give it a try...I'd do anything for my baby.
Janette 04-13-2006, 09:56 AM Please let us know how it goes, Ginette.
AndrewsMommy 04-13-2006, 10:07 AM I'd be interested to know how it goes as well!
Cam's sahm 04-13-2006, 10:42 AM You know I'll tell you... ;) We're doing it in a week. Nothing to loose. By the way, My best Friend did it 3 weeks ago. She was stressed out, sleeping as soon as she got home from work and had no engergy. She's single and has been some what of a player her whole life. Her mom flew to Los Angeled from San Francisco to give her the test. It found 5 major issues with her. 2 were emotional, Said that she was cronically indecisive right now and also pinpointed that she had been abusedf sexually. This is pretty crazy because she was just finally admitting to me just before the test that she may want to have a family of her own soon and how tired she was of short flings with a bunch of guys. But she was struggling with it because that's not the way she's trained herself to act in relationships....mainly due to the molestation which happened to her at age 8 for a period of time. Another finding was toxic blood levels, gosh and I completely forgot the other 2 but they were internal issues. She ordered all the herbs and minerals and says that she feels like a new person already. Here's a link to her mom's website or the page that explains the test that cameron will take. http://www.vitallifechoices.com/CEDSA.html
I've got to run Cameron is happy right now and I don't want to miss it!
Janette 04-13-2006, 10:51 AM That test looks really neat! Thanks for sharing the link! It's amazing what they can find out about a person!
Shaes Grammy 04-13-2006, 06:45 PM My hairdresser told me about a guy that does alternative treatment. It sounds so strange and yet I do believe it may work. They also call him the voodoo man and he actually has little dolls, sort of like voodoo dolls. Amazing. I went onto his website and found it very interesting. I just may go!
Good luck, Ginette. I sure hope it works for Cameron.
ZacsMom 04-13-2006, 07:05 PM Ada, I think that is wonderful and it would be REALLY GREAT if you could get that natural doctor to contact Roni...he may have some good information to pass along for us all.
Lindasmom 04-25-2006, 10:30 AM How did you find this doctor and how old is your daughter? I had thought of this in the past but was not sure if this type of doctor would see a 4 month old. thanks
adarobayo 04-26-2006, 08:24 AM Hi All,
Gabby is now almost 18 months old. Her natural doctor is very hard to get to so I don't think that he will be able to get on line to talk. But if there are any specific questions that anyone wants to know about I will relay the message to him. I found this doctor through a family member. They see him as well for health issues.
Just as a follow up on my daughter's health. Gabby has been off of all meds. for the past 9 months. She is still doing great. No vomitting and no runny poops. She is still have feeding issues but at least she is taking some things orally. I will send out an e-mail link so that you may find natural doctors in your area. The only medicine that Gabby is on that was given to her by her Ped. is her vitamins and those will be changed to natural vitamins as soon as this bottle is finished. I would also suggest that if you have a Whole Foods supermarket in your area. You should visit that place because it has everything that you can think of. Talk to the employees there as well. Some are very knowledgable with their products.
I will talk to everyone soon.
Ada
P.S. does anyone have any advise on getting your toddler off of baby food and on to solids?
scarlet 04-27-2006, 05:11 AM Ada, a lot is to be said about natural medicine, what title does he go under, we have natropaths here, is it like that? I would like to see someone with Parker cause I am sure his digestion is out of whack and am also sure that he has unkown allergies.
I just don't know where to start!
Thanks
adarobayo 04-27-2006, 09:53 AM He goes more by a nutritionist. But you can try naturalpaths. But here is a website to help you find some doctors in your area. WebND.com. See if this works. Hopefully all of you can find a natural doctor in your area. I would love to hear everyone elses experiance.
Eliana's Mommy 04-27-2006, 10:04 AM Ada,
Where are you located?
adarobayo 05-01-2006, 10:52 AM I am in New Jersey.
kawaiitenshi 05-01-2006, 08:27 PM When my son was on heavy meds it seemed to screw his stomach up when he went on solids. i started him on homeopathics and i still continue to this day. Whole Foods believe it or not is a great place to start. get in there and ask questions. the people that work there are very helpful. my son drinks cammomile tea when his belly aches and it helps his throat alot when he gets into a heaving episode. always check with someone first before starting homeopathics tho :)
kawaiitenshi 05-01-2006, 08:42 PM oh i almost forgot, sorry for the double post. if i can find my book (somewhere) i have a book for Infants and adolescants that is abotu natural remedies. i recently moved so i still need to organize. i tried looking for the book on Amazon but its not there anymore.
I use this for Colic : It sooths the tummy it helps them relax . Boiron Cocyntal for Colic Sympton Reflief 30 Unit Doses, Infant by Boiron
For teething : It doesnt really numb the gumbs, but sooths instead. Teething Gel, Children's Rememdy .33 oz by Hyland's Children's Remedies
Both of those can be found at Whole Foods and many homeopathic stores.
i also use Rescue Remedy in extreme cases, but i only do that under the supervision of a friend who knows homeopathics.
