View Full Version : What's your pump's max speed?

We use the Kangaroo Pet, and its max is 400 ml/hr, so it takes nearly 30 minutes per feed, although Daniel handles it OK when we just syringe him in about 15 minutes. Now our feeding specialist wants us to start giving him extra water, and I don't want to try to keep the poor boy immobile for even longer. Is there a faster pump out there?

Thanks in advance!

I did some quick research, and it looks like the Entralite wins in this category, too. (It'll go up to 600 ml/hr.) I'm definitely going to see if we can get it from our home healthcare provider. There's also an Entralite Infinity that looks pretty cool and really small.

We have the same pump--let me know how you like the new one if you get it.

Boy, I wish Sam could tolerate faster feeds, I have to run his feeds over 45 min to 60 min!!!!

Hmmm, ya...we've never gotten over 125mls/hr with Shae so I have no idea. I'm excited to see that infinity though, that looks neat, I wonder how much smaller it is than the enteralite. I don't think that was available 4 yrs ago when we got Shae's pump.

Did you see the enteralite in the classifieds section?

We have the kangaroo that goes to 400mls and hr. With Justin we have never been able to get it past 100mls and hour. When Brandon was on his the highest we coudl go with him was 250 mls an hour or he would start retching.

Well, I sure feel lucky that D is able to handle such fast feeds.
