How long do they normally stay hospitalized after the fundo & G-tube placement?? The Early Developemental people are coming out to assess Kira girl on the 31st, BUT I realized that is only 4 days post-op! How many days after her surgery should I have them come out?

I believe it is just a few nights. Although we didn't have a G tube placed but we had the bottom of his tummy corrected too so it was a bit longer. Hope all goes well!

When my kids had there fundos they were in three days and then when they had there gtubes placed they were in for over four days to make sure they could tolerate their feeds. I think that you could be pushing it with the appointment. You might want to reschedule the visit. I do wish you luck and hope that all works out well.

We were told 3-5 days, but Sam had some other issues going on at the same time so we were there a bit longer--I think about 2 weeks if I remember correctly.

G tube only was fast -- just one night. We once had an assessment scheduled for a few days after Daniel's cleft repair, and the ED team insisted on rescheduling. They really needed to see him at his best.
