Sam got his button this week. So far I am doing OK with it. I have noticed a small bit of oozing which I know is normal. Just wanted to know if anyone puts something on the skin under the button to prevent skin irritation???

With my son right now I use a 4by4 dressing and then tape it on with mefix. This dressing helped keep his site dry and kept the drainage off of his skin. We found that using the mefix was also the best thing because it is a very breatable tape and he never gets any irratation from it.
