Zoee in the last couple of weeks went sleeping has been kicking one leg through the night. I have been waken up to this banging coming from her crib and I get to look and here it is her left left moving . She is flat on her back and ashe is kicking her leg up and down. She has also been at times when sleeping throwing her self around the crib. she sits up and then it is like she flings her body to a diffrent sopt and a couple of seconds, she does it again. This has gone on for about 40 minutes and several times in one night. I am parniod b/c she was doing weird things when she was the reglan that I thought were normal but were not. So I am worried that I am going to miss something again. :?
So Can anyone tell me if their baby/child does this to ease my crazy overactive mind? :D

Nathan has always been super hyper in his crib- kicking like crazy (even getting his ankles caught through the bars), and almost doing laps around the crib. But I think that is just his ADHD personality. :? Not sure if it has anything to do with the Reglan.
If she seems to be happy when she is doing it, maybe its a good thing, Shannon. Maybe she is trying to add a little bit more cardio to her lifestyle.

Shannon,
My guys are/were all very, very active in their cribs. Apparently I was, too, as a baby... my mom tells me I banged my head on the rails *on purpose* all the time. (That probably explains a great many things.... )
You can always call the nurse at your ped's office and just run it by to be on the safe side. THere's no such thing as a stupid question, even if peds and nurses forget that!

Catherine flings herself all over her crib. She also hits herself in the stomach because she flails her arms with such force. I honestly think it's because she's frustrated that she's not more mobile than she is (which is hardly at all).

Daniel loves to play in his crib during the day, and he does the same things -- flings himself around, kicks wildly even when his upper body is cuddling up with a pillow. Sometimes when I first lay him down, too, he kicks with one leg.

Sorry Shannon. I haven't had that happen with either of my kids while asleep. Maybe she's just a restless sleeper.

I have always found certain sayings like "sleeping like a baby" hilarious since they seem to have such a restless sleep that if we were to mimic it as adults, we would all be psychotic from lack of REM!
All my boys were "restless" sleepers as infants. Curran used to do the flop to one spot for a few seconds then flop to another spot and we watched him spin and spin around in his crib. He is 3 now and still does it in his bed at times! When he crawled into bed with us on a regular basis last year due to a "monster" problem he would actually flail so hard he would hit us repeatedly and we could not get any sleep until we did a "kid dump" back into his bed. We still have the monitor on Iain and can hear him doing the flop thing and many times we have had to go and rescue a leg that is caught between the bars as a result of flailing.
It would not hurt to ask about it, but I am sure that things are normal.

Both of my girls are active sleepers. Kaylin is five and the kid is still all over the place. She flings herself from one end of the bed to the other and kicks like there's no tomorrow. I didn't know she still did this, but we've been remodeling and I've been sharing a bed with her until the bedrooms are done. I haven't had a good night's sleep since! It's legs everywhere...in my back, over my body, feet in my face...it's just plain crazy!
The baby, Cady, was just put into her crib two weeks ago and for saying the little thing can't turn over or sit up, she gets around. She slides around on her back. She also kicks both legs up and down periodically through the night. I wake up to this bang-bang-bang sound and that's her kicking up and down, up and down, sheesh! I neglected to mention that both girls and me sleep in the kitchen (just until all of our bedrooms are livable) Kaylin and me on the mattress and the baby in her crib, so it's me and two very noisy, very active sleepers. I don't know how those two even get rested with all the movin' and shakin' at night. I know I'm exhausted. BTW: I think it might be normal, as my non-refluxer is just as active as my refluxer.
