I am scared to believe that I have heard these words. Hobbes has say three words since last night!!! He said HI, bye, and bad. I am amazed! I feel like there is some wonderful hope that I will hear my boy speak after all. He said Bye when I came home from work when I said Hi to him. When I laughed and hugged him and said Hi Hobbes, he repeated the HI! Just now Zoee was turning off the Tv on him(her new find thing, the off button  ) He shake his finger at her and say, I am pretty sure a word that sounded like BAD! :D I am doing a happy dance with tears!

I guess someone is watching out for us and has decided that today I needed a ray of hope and send it down to me! :D Of course he only said them once but it is a good start! :D

Wow, Shannon! That's so awesome! The little things mean so much more when you have a special needs child. I hope that there are more new words and repeats in Hobbes' future!

Glad you remembered to post it on the calendar, Shannon! Did you get the right date? That's awesome that Hobbes is able to get into the autism programme so quickly! Being a polite pest does wonders when it comes to getting help for our special needs kids!

Woohoo, Shannon! It sure does pay to be a polite pest sometimes, doesn't it!!! I'm sure that disability amount will make a big difference for you! Have you also applied for ACSD (Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities) through Community and Social Services? Don't let the "severe" scare you away. It's a provincial thing, but they help to cover the "extra" expenses of having a child with special needs, things like trips to the specialists, extra laundry, learning toys, etc. Anyway, it's worth while looking into it.

Janet, Yes, I haveThey are the one who are paying for Hobbes' pull up now as well as Zoee's thichened liquids that she is on. They are also the ones who have put in for the funding for Hobbes to have a worker 1-1 with him when he is in nursery. So I am very thankful for that help. Oh they are also the ones that will give me the respite if I can just get DH to agree to it. Also just got the new paper in the mail for the taxes, even though I am not sure about them , The specialist who diagnosed Hobbes has again put speak is not applicable when He should be marked restricted but she did put on the back of paper where it says diagnose with she did put Austism Spect. Disorder. So I hope that is enough. This is the fourth time that i had to get her to fill oout these forms for me. So here is too hoping!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you about the income tax papers, Shannon. Why isn't dh comfortable with the respite?
