Has anyone had a problem with the g-tube and trying to feed at night or while reclining ? If I feed Noah while reclining or lying down the feed backs up in his throat mmmm... So, I have just added another hour during the day instead.

I have heard of this one somewhere, and the people with experience recommending slowing the feeds down? Hope someone else can help Katy!

Only once, when Daniel was really bad, did we do the continuous drip feeds through the night. We really had to fiddle with the rate so he wouldn't puke in bed. During the day, however, we did small bolus feeds.

Katy that was Justin when he was at his worst. The feed would back up into his throat while at the same time pouring out of his site. We had to slow down his rate and eventually stop the feeds at night. I was wondering if Noah is not emptying at all and the feeds are just sitting there backing up?. I am really sorry to hear that he is having so many problems right now. How is everything else going? I do hope that things improve soon. Give me a call when you get a chance.
Melanie.
