That was Evan's new word after his bath tonight! He first said it last year on Mother's Day and I only heard it for a while after. All I could do was cry, hug him, praise him, and get him to say it again...over and over again. Brandon wondered why I was crying...I sure hope that Evan remembers how to say "Momma" in the morning still! The occasional time that his mouth wanted to say "None" (his former name for me), I was able to help him reshape it to say "Momma" again.

That's terrific! Way to go Evan! And Mother's Day is just around the corner again... he has plenty of time to practice for next Sunday!

Has it continued??
Yes! And he can say "Mom" today, too! He even called me that out of the blue once at lunch. He frequently forgets how to purse his lips to do it though, so I have to do it for him the first time by using my fingers to shape his mouth.

Way to go, Evan! :smt026

It is one more milestone for you both, and a very special one at that. There is nothing better than to hear a Momma out of your child for the first time and it is extra special as the two of you are working on it together. Mother's Day is around the corner and you received an early present! (try finding something to compare to that at any store!)

That is great news. I know how that word must have sounded to you.
