I just got ours yesterday and was wondering if anyone else had one. IT's quite the switch for Evan, he's used to sleeping w/ mommy, but I'm really hoping it helps. He actually did sleep better last night I think and it was easy to calm him just by swinging the sling, but I had to do it often sometimes. Hopefully tonight will be better for both of us since I'm learning how to use it better today. :) I slept in the living room w/ him last night in it, but we'll move ip to our bed room today I think.

Glad that it worked for Evan. i wish that we had one for Zoee. It does sound like it is great. Hope that it keeps working!

I hope that tonight goes better for you both! Maybe there's someone on here with Amby experience who can give you some good tips. We'll all be looking forward to hearing how it goes!

We've never tried one, but it sounds like you'll get some good results with practice!

Last night was even better. I was even able to get him to sleep w/out actually putting him in there asleep! He napped in it for a while today to. I'm praying this lets us all sleep now. I'm impressed so far and wish I had gotten one sooner.

We're going really well with the hammock too. The only proble is that I have to put him in when he is really asleep. Hopefully we can fix that soon.

We've had our Amby Bed about two weeks now. Emma did horribly in the crib, even with it elevated. She would wake up every 15 minutes once I'd put her in bed, (asleep). So, she had been sleeping in a hammock/vibrating seat....which slouched her middle and didn't do well for her digestion/stomach....

We really like the Amby Bed, but we had some trouble getting her elevated enough even after adjusting the "ties" on the sides. We put an extra blanket under the mattress in the bottom to weigh the foot portion down even more and we finally moved the snugglers closer to her armpits....we had them down by her hips and we think it was making her feel less secure.

But, she's now taking longer naps....about 1/2 hour to an hour several times a day and she would sleep all night if we let her..she konks out at night for some reason...maybe it's the Axid medication she's on...it causes sleepiness, (our ped wants us to wake her to feed at night....so she can get her 24 ounces in). Plus, she looks so comfy in there! We'll have to keep waiting, but I think as she gets more and more used to it she'll do even better.

Hope this helps..if you have any other questions...just let me know.

Jennifer,

We're finding that, in the Amby Bed, Emma is able to put herself to sleep now too, (well, not every time), and with the help of her pacifier. It is nice to just put her in there drowsy and bounce/sway the bed a little and then she starts to fall asleep!

I love that!

Wow Amanda! That sounds so easy! I wish I had had one of those for Evan!

Well, this is definitely not the quick fix I was hoping for! lol We still use it, but only sometimes as I just don't have the patience right now to bounce and swing and everything else to try to get him to sleep in it sometimes. He did well last night, slept in it for an hour and then another hour or so later. He's doing better w/ co-sleeping now though and is a harder sleeper so he's not waking as much. He still naps in his swing which is fine w/ me. He got really congested last night, but we had the windows open so I'm thinking that was it. Oh well. I'm not sure if we'll keep it just to try again for the next baby, but it would be nice to have. He did great in it when we were out of town, I guess b/c that was the only semi-familiar thing. Somtimes I think of starting him in his crib, but I'm too tired for that too! :D

I'm sorry to hear that the Amby bed isn't working as well as you had hoped, Jennifer. I can understand you not wanting to try the crib just yet, especially if the co-sleeping is working for your Evan right now. It's hard enough to get sleep, so you have to go with whatever works for as long as possible.
