I just wanted to say that this sucker has changed our lives! Eric sleeps so much more sound, and he's able to settle himself back to sleep if he wakes at all. I let him sleep on his belly on a incline, even though it's not recomended this way. He has room for lots of movment, but it still keeps him in the right position. For us it has been the best thing I have done for him.

He sleeps 10 to 12 hours a night, and his naps are going great too.

That's great that it's working so well for you! I wish I had known about such devices when Evan was little. Heck...I just wish that we had had a diagnosis.

Hi Minnie;
I am currently using a tucker sling with pretty good results, but the little guy is outgrowing it, and I need something a little bigger.
How does the SafeTSleep fasten around the mattress?
The tucker sling has like a sleeve that is shaped like a sheet that fits over one end of his mattress, so when it is eleveated it holds him in place.

If I put the SafeTSleep over the end of the mattress and elevate it, does it fasten somehow to where it wont slide down the mattress?

I looked at the website and cant tell.

thanks,
Lisa

Minnie,
Great to hear how well Eric is doing with everything. How nice it must be to have a little one sleep 10-12 hours at a time! I have to admit I feel a little envious of you! :D If I could just get Zoee to do that. Well maybe Hobbes too. :roll:

Lisa,
it attatches with velcro around the mattress. like an ace bandage (hope that makes sence). I bought the reflux one that has a leg peice so it's kinda like the tucker sling as far as in keeping him in place.

Scroll down on this page to see the reflux instructions, and they have good pictures of it.

It stays put. You wrap it around the mattress really tight. The insructions say the tighter it's wrap the more range of movent they have. Eric grabs the top of the wrap and chews on it and pulls on it hard, and it doesn't budge at all. He's also a major wiggler. I must say that I don't think the product is worth what they charge, but it works, and keeps him comfy so in a way it's priceless. They messed up my first sling and sewed it wrong. They sent another to me right away for free. Only one day went by after I complained. I was going to put the extra one (had the bad one fixed by my taylor) on the board here for free, but the extra one comes in handy for all the diaper leaks we have. Now I HAVE to have it. I seriouly don't know what I would do without it now, we are all so adicted. OH and it can be used until age 3. I not sure on the weight limit. I didn't pay attention, cus both my kids are so small.
