Hi all;
Just thought I would post this here in case it helps anyone.
We had the hardest time figuring out something for our reflux baby to keep him safely elevated while he sleeps.
I looked all over the internet, and found the "Tucker Sling"
It works great. It keeps him elevated, and I dont have to worry about him getting into a rolled up blanket, pillows, or worrying about SIDS issues.
(Since the wedgie things sold arent approved by the American Society of Pediatrics..or whatever that group is called)

He ends up spitting up very little in it, it has been alifesaver for us.

Here is the link:

A little pricey, but it works like a charm.

Thx,
Lisa

Ya, there's a link to it on the propping page and I think the reflux links page as well. Glad to hear you are having great luck with it. Personally I think it's kind of expensive, but admittedly, I don't know what it costs to make so I could be wrong.

I had actually contacted them about advertising on this site awhile back but they never responded...suppose they won't now after my comment above...

By the way, just curious if you tried the propping suggest on the propping page of the site before buying the sling.

Yeah, it is a bit overpriced, but it has worked well for us.

Before we found this sling, we had this complicated thing the nurse told us how to make using a receiving blanket and safety pins.

It was a real hassle making sure he was secure in it(wouldent fall out, wouldent get near his face, etc), and by the time we got him into it and pinned together with the safety pins, he was awake, and, it was hard to get him out of that set up in a hurry if we needed to.
Plus I was always sticking my fingers with the safety pins and it was just a matter of time before we stuck the poor baby.

The tucker sling is a lot easier to use, makes baby access a lot faster, and putting him to bed a lot easier as there isnt a bunch of stuff to mess around with so he stays asleep when he goes into his crib.

Just my experience,
Lisa

Scary is right!

I've heard of a number of parents on here praise the Tucker Sling, but it has been a while and there are so many new members, so thanks for bringing it to everyone's attention. If it works for you, then it is worth it's weight in gold.

Thanks! I am going to try this. I don't care what it costs, at this point I'll try anything. We spent so much time and effort making a comfy nursery for our daughter, and she can't even sleep in her crib b/c she draws her legs up when I lay her down in it and is SO uncomfy and she spits up a lot. Thanks again!
