Ok.... when alex was 2 mos i tried propping the crib up and all that... but he was much worse then than he is now... the only thing now is he cant be flat on his back/belly for ne length of time... well hes 6 mos now... and i wanna try propping the crib again...can someone tell me how to do it again...? and someone i work with was telling me they propped the mattress up with pillows/blankets and then put pillows beside their child so they couldnt hit the sides of the crib... does that sound like a good idea?

i need to get alex outa that swing. and its driving me crazy!!!

PLUS, hes so attached to me. i leave the room and he starts balling... he's only ok when my husband, me, or his uncle hold him... so moving him in the other room is gonna be a lil hard for me. to wake up and see a strange place and not me right next to him.... ANY suggestions?!

EMAIL / Message me if u want, thats fine too...

I really question the safety of pillows in the crib, too. I'd be afraid of suffocation. Roni has a great propping method for infants. We put a 2" x 6" under the head wheels of the crib, and also propped the mattress a bit with towels.

I'm not so sure about the pillows around him.. in the actual cot. They could be a danger in terms of suffocation. We took the caster wheels off the bottom end and also wedged towels etc under the actual mattress at the top end. I know some people use wedges of foam under the mattress. You just need to ensure it's not so high that Alex slips down the cot and under the blankets.
Let us know how you get on...... it is very hard weaning them off what they are used to. We had to wean Stephen out of his carseat! Just remember... it takes 3 days for a baby to form a habit and 3 days to break it. So hang on in there!

:D If you live near a buy buy baby or a babies r us they sell crib wedges. I still use mine in ,y sons crib and he is 14 months! It is a wedhe pillow made of crib mattress materal (to prevent suff), It goes under the crib sheet and I swear by it. If your little one is a wiggler like mine was then i would also consider getting a sleeping wedge that they sell to keep babies from rolling over, just so that way he doesn't shimmy down off of it. Let me know if you can't find one b/c I see them alot by me.
I think the maker is Baby Lion.
