Is your little refluxer a good sleeper?

I had to say "sometimes", b/c it really depends on how Evan is feeling. If he is sick, if he has a cold or if his reflux is acting up, I do well to get 3-5 hours of sleep per night.

Yes, Eli is a very good sleeper, my other boys stopped napping at a year and a half but Eli is 2 1/2 and still naps for 3 hours (I wake him up after that) a day. When you lay him down he will lay there until he goes to sleep, he loves it! He will go to bed anytime. If he misses his nap you can put him down at 5 and he will sleep until tomorrow. I have always thought it may be that his body is just run down from the reflux. The reflux has always made him mad because it interferes with his love of sleeping.... :D

I had to say sometimes too, as one son can sleep really one night and not the other. Then they swap and my other son sleeps well!! ALso, given they are so young I think I can't expect too much in the sleeping department yet. Oh, to sleep thorugh the night........

Sleep? What's that?

Catherine just had her 3:00am feeding (not that we're on a schedule or anything; still demand feeding), she fell asleep as I've been typing one-handed, and now she's asleep and making gaggy noises in her crib.

i also had to say sometimes b/c it does depend on colds, teething, how bad the reflux is today and what time of day it is. it is usually very hard to get him to nap durring the day. he will be sooo tired and just cry and cry. but usually by nightime (8-9:00) he's ready. if you don't get him there quick enough he just falls out where ever he's at. i think he wears him self out fighting it all day. most recently, he has started to wake up several times a night crying out or puking, but goes back to sleep easily. he has a feeding tube and is on continuous feeds at night to catch up on his weight, so before that he slept very well at night. he too, loves his sleep! don't even think of trying to wake him. He gets SOOO mad.
