Hi Robynne!
I was at an IBI parent training course and was introduced to Wikki Sticks and think that they are just the cat's meow! lol
I just wanted to make sure that I understand how to use them, and to see if there are any other uses you may suggest for them?
We were instructed to use them to outline pictures and have the child colour inside them. Then, gradually reduce how much of the area is covered with the Wikki. Then remove the Wikki altogether. This would take time and depend upon the child's progress rate.
I am thinking of using it for two of my boys. Iain is 5, but is just starting to learn how to hold a pencil, colour, etc. As he is PDD NOS, it is a bit of a challenge at times as art is NOT his favourite thing to do.
My main concern would be for my 7 year old who has fine motor issues and his handwriting is atrocious. Could you recommend something that I could do with the Wikkis to help him improve?
Thanks in advance. :)
