Doing the Forum Shuffle...

We have decided that we need to streamline the boards again, in order to update them, prune out ones that are less popular and make room for new forums which have been requested. This way, we can tailor the site to suit the members. :) You will see many changes over the next few days as this is underway. Do not fret about missing threads or posts as they are still there - just shuffled elsewhere. If you use the search engine on the boards, you will still be able to find them easily.




The following changes have occured on IRD:



1. Therapy has been renamed "Traditional and Alternative Therapy."


2. Alternative Therapy has been merged into Traditional and Alternative Therapy and the empty forum deleted.


3. Multiple GERDlings has been merged to Questions, Questions, Questions. The forum has been deleted.


4. Spreading The Word About GERD and Making a Difference have been merged and moved to Important Website News and Announcements.


5. Older Children has changed the age from 3 to 1. There are differences between how you treat an infant and a toddler and many do not outgrow by the magic age of 1.


6. There is a new forum called Leisure, Recreation and Fun and it is to encompass our old Hobby House and Bargain Basement forums which have been deleted.

There will be more changes coming with regards to the forums, but these are the ones which have been done thus far.

Please bear with me while I finish the work in the next few days/week and get the final organization completed. I will update you as the work is done so you do not have to go blind searching for forums. ;)

Once completed, the site will be more user friendly and easier to view and navigate. I thank you for your patience and look forward to your suggestions and comments.

1. General Parenting Advice and Tips is now General Parenting and Development.

2. Development forum has merged into General Parenting and Development.

3. Chalkboard has merged into General Parenting and Development.

4. Fun Stuff has moved to Leisure, Recreation and Fun Stuff.

5. Inspirational has merged into Leisure, Recreation and Fun Stuff.

6. Photo Contests has merged into Shutterbugs.

A bit more shuffling...


1. Questions, Questions, Questions has been changed to Questions and Miscellaneous. Sometimes, it is difficult to find where to place something GERDy, so now this *should* cover that. The title sucks at the moment, so I am open to suggestions!

2. Good Doctors has merged into Questions and Miscellaneous.

3. Is This Reflux? has merged into Questions and Miscellaneous. It has always seemed redundant to have both forums, but now I hope the new description of Questions and Miscellaneous will help.

4. The Sick Bed has been renamed Under the Weather. The description has changed as well to emcompass all members. :)

5. There is now a minimum post count required of 100 before members can view the content of the Shutterbug forum. It is so people are an established part of our community before they see how awesome our kids are. ;) If anyone has had permission to see this before and has now lost it due to post count being lower than necessary, please pm Leigh.

In addition, most forums are in a more alphabetical order to ease searching.
