He's been communicating more, learning more, playing more, etc...
He's been pretending he's different animals lately and of course I'm the owner (eye roll)
He gets mad at me because I don't do anything or because I don't do it right. LOL
and when it's time to feed my pet Oh man! If you guys could only hear.

"Eric, what am I supposed to do? an owner of a pet, feeds their animal, gives their animal water, and cleans up after them. What else does an owner do?"

"I don't know! but, dogs (and every other animal you can think of) don't eat anything but water"

He's gone through so many animals, but, to his dismay, he discovered that all of them eat.:haha: poor kid just can't win.

He also associates his tummy aches with what he is doing at the time, and not just eating. I've noticed this from the very beginning, but now I have his words to prove it. If he's eating he'll say "I'm not gonna eat dis anymore it give me a tummy ache." (and of course stays true to his word, even when it's something he loves)
If he's watching T.V. "I don't want to watch Clifford anymore." (and won't for days and days and days. and we have a stack of DVDs he's afraid of watching)
If he's playing "I guess I shouldn't play with my geoTrax anymore." (it's been in his closet collecting dust for weeks)
Yesterday he said "I think I played with my play doh too long." (notice he didn't say he was never going to play with it again LOL)

This is why I was so upset with myself when I screamed at him "I hope those gummy bears give you a tummy ache! URGH! :banghead:

Now this kinda talk has been going on for a while, and just became prominent again because he's back in the land of the living. LOL
so I've been trying to help him understand that his tummy aches aren't because of food, or toys, or shows, that they just happen when they feel like it no matter what he's doing or what he ate, and maybe what he should do during these times, like
tell Mom
rest
try going potty
etc

I'm thinking about making him a PDF book about this, and one about how people and animals eat. If they turn out well is anyone interested in it?
and does anyone have any ideas to throw at me?

Awwww, Minnie. Prevacid makes a book about GERD. I think I ordered it and never received it though. It was free and in one of their pamphlets.

I would LOVE to see what you come up with! I've been toying with a couple of children's books myself...but I need an illustrator!

LOL O.k.
so far this book isn't going well. For one Eric doesn't want a paper book, he wants a computer book, because he likes to click. O.K. I can do that, but
he won't even look at the pages about food LOL
He just skips right over them! Little stinker.

I may have to change my plot a little, and maybe make the foods all clickable so he'll actually look at them.

I'd be interested to see what you come up with for sure!

What if when you clicked on a certain food, like a carrot for instance a little blurb would come up that said "Carrots are good for your eyes". Then he could still have the novelty of his computer and clicking, but you would still be able to read the little blurbs to him?
