I'm working on the boards again this afternoon so apologizes in advance if we have any down time.

Secondly, I'm changing "skin" or "template" back to something that's much less server intensive. This means, it's gonna be pretty basic around here for a little bit because when it gets changed, just about all the toys (pager, map, photo gallery, classifieds, store, etc) will all be unavailable for as long as it takes for me to get them re-added. It also means that when you log onto the boards it's gonna look very different...

The purpose for all of this is to hopefully help things run a bit faster and more efficiently around here, making it easier for everyone to enjoy the boards.

So, apologies in advance for any inconvenience all this causes, but I'm hoping it'll make things run better when it's done.

It really is MUCH faster! I'm also using Firefox, so that could be it, too...but for the most part, I do think it's the site!!

I switched to Firefox a year ago. It is sooo much better than IE7. The site really is much faster, Roni. I saw that several people were still having trouble last night, but while they were posting about that on FB, I was surfing IRD. I'm not quite sure what that was all about. Thanks for all of your hard work the past couple of days (and years). And, truthfully, I do kinda like the new look!

I'm glad everyone is enjoying the new look and isn't minding that all the fun features are gone for now. I'll be adding them back in slowly over time. I'd like to keep much of them to a minimum though as a lot of the bells and whistles are what was making it so painfully slow all the time.

Bear with me over the coming days as I'll still be working so things may change, or stop working or come back, etc...it's just me messing around, no need to worry.

It is moving fast for me too! I have a hard time with change, so it is going to take me a little while to get used to the new look, but I love that it is moving faster!

One thing I noticed is the info at the top of the page ..... under the welcome whoever....it runs in the blue line and is hard to read... don't know it that is something you could move up a bit..... I think once I get used to this new look it will be great....it takes me a while though.... I didn't have the old page completely down....lol Just so glad it back up!!!

Yeah, I agree- its a little difficult to read where I type in my name and password.
