Hi my name is Bonnie. I have four kids two of whom are refluxers. The older one has all but outgrown it although she does have some eating issues but I am not 100% sure they are related. My newborn Payton has "silent" reflux. In fact, I wasn't even convinced he had it until the GI scan proved it!! So this is a whole new ballgame compared to the constant vomiting, red watery eyes and misery our daughter had. Payton does spit up a little but mostly he is always fussy GRUNTING like mad and rubbing his face with his fists and last but not least we have MAJOR feeding issues we are trying to work through.Refux robbed the first one of a great breastfeeding experience but I am determined not to let that happen again. But I am so happy to find some place to come to meet some others like us!

Bonnie,
I've read that it's usually by age one that kids outgrow their reflux, but I just noticed that Adriana outgrew her reflux at age 2. That's so encouraging! We're hoping and praying that's Evan's recent good health with better eating and less vomiting means that he too will soon outgrow his reflux. (He just turned 2 at the end of March.)

Bonnie,
I hope you can make the breast feeding work. My son Ben is six months, diagnosed with relflux at 6 weeks. He never would latch on, and I pumped for 8 weeks before I pooped out and we started the formula merry go round. Best of luck and welcome!

Hi Bonnie and welcome! I know where you are coming from, reflux robbed us of the whole B/F experience as well. I hope things are going better with the feeding issues for you both now. Look forward to getting to know you.
