this site is such a blessing,Roni, you are a heaven sent! I will definitely go find a new doctor tomorrow coz i'm sure that my son has reflux.thank you!

I've got 2 beautiful kids my eldest is a girl now 12 y.o.and my son is just 5 weeks old.My eldest didn't have the same episode my son has that's why i was skeptic when the doc told me that what's happening to my son is normal.

We had the same reactions from doctors as you are right now. In fact (and unfortunately!), many of the parents and grandparents on these boards have experienced the same. Doctors trained in general medicin just don't seem to have enough knowledge about infant/child reflux. Mom's instinct always seems to be right. We know when something is wrong with our kids. Unfortunately, not all doctors have learned to trust our instincts. Perhaps that's because of the parents out there who over-react when their kids are only mildly ill and race to the doctor's office regularly.

Nice chatting with you earlier today, B. I hope that baby G's crying stops soon and that you're able to get in to see a doctor tomorrow. I've heard great things about Sick Kids (Hospital) in Toronto. Perhaps you could get some help there. I find that going through the emergency department (at any hospital) will often help you to get further and to find more answers.

Good luck and please let me know how it goes!
