Hi Everyone,

I found this website yesterday and can't stop telling everybody about it! I have two daughters Emily (3) and Jessica (9 months) both have reflux. Emily is ok now but I had a terrible time when she was born it took four months before she was diagnosed, Jessica also has a reflux she has been tried on every type of milk, Zantac, Gaviscon, thickener but no help, she is currently awaiting a barium swallow to see why she is still vomiting. At last there are people out there who know how I have been feeling, a mother knows her own child and I always knew something was wrong with my two. Anyway I better stop as I could talk all night. Has anyone out there got a child like Jessica who will not refuse food but constantly has to eat, but still pukes, please get in touch with me. Thanks

Linda

Hi Linda! It's nice to have you join us and to hear that it's not just those of us in North America that are struggling with children who have reflux and doctors who don't listen, understand or diagnose well. I look forward to getting to know you.

Welcome Linda :)

We are all here to help each other, which I think is great.
You know, the one thing I really like about this website is the fact that you can pretty much say or ask any question and the other members understand. There are no stupid or "strange" questions on this site. Between all of us, I think we have experienced just about everything that goes along with reflux.

We're glad to have you on board!

Hi Linda:

I am Shae's Grammy and wanted to say welcome. Unfortunately, this horrid disease in infants is worldwide...We have a story in our book LIFE ON THE REFLUX ROLLER COASTER from a women named Lucy in Kenya, Africa. Thankfully, her son did not seem to have this so bad and was improving.

My son was married in Ireland and we went there...Roni can tell you more - it was hell b/c of the different electricity that burnt out Shae-Lynne's pump. The pre-wedding night when the bride should have had fun with friends she was on-line trying to get a NDA pump to feed Shae-Lynne and then calling local hospitals to get a pump to use in the meantime. Boy, can we tell some stories. I guess my son found the right girl!

BTW...Ireland is beautiful.

We went and saw the Cliffs of Moor, and castles, etc.

I am the office manager at work and recently diagnosed with reflux myself and on strong meds....so it has been a rough week....really busy... I will send you some brochures tomorrow didn't get to it today. sorry

Best wishes.

Hi Linda:

My boyfriend and I were just talking about how cute Shae-Lynne is. She is coming tomorrow to visit for three weeks YAHOO! Oh, yes, Roni is coming, too!

Anyway Gregory said "Tell Shae-Lynne no coloring on the walls"...so it reminded me of when we where in Ireland...Gregory had told her that on her last visit so while we were having dinner in a Pub over there - everyone that walked by Shae-Lynne would tell them - in sign language - "her Grampy said 'no coloring on wall'. Too cute!

that's all for now.

Best wishes
