I had Evan to the doctor's office today for his 2-year check up. (We saw the nurse practitioner, who generally seems to be pretty good.) How disheartening to be asked how many words he can say and to have to answer none. The next comment/question? "So he's walking and running and everything?" to which I also had to say no again. They've had our records there for at least a month and didn't have any of them in Evan's file yet. I'm sick and tired of having to explain all the time! At least she commended me on all of the specialists I have personally set up for him already, and is going to help push the pediatrician and the pediatric neurologist to get at his MRI and his genetic testing.
Evan also saw his dietician (among others) today. He has grown another 2 inches in the past month, but has lost a pound again. I know that the growth in height and the fact that he's speed crawling and pulling up on everything affects this, but will the roller coaster never end? (Thanks for the vent...I feel a bit better already.)
