Hello there! Just wanted to introduce myself & tell you how relieved I am to have finally found a site like this. I am a mother of three (5, 3, and 9 mo) all of whom have suffered with GERD since birth. My older boys managed very well on Nutramigen formula as well as Zantac and Carafate until 1 year. However, my 9 mo old daughter is giving me fits! You'd think my 3rd time around I would have seen it all, but no. She goes through stages of complete aversion to food - no bottle, no cereal. We increase her meds & she tends to get better (currently on an adult dose of Prilosec 1xday). Of course, her pediatric GI tries to wean her off her meds (says she should be outgrowing all of this) and it all starts back again. We've currently gone two weeks where she will take her formula (only about 2 ounces at a time) but when we give her any type of cereal she immediately vomits. Anyway, back to the GI in two days, when we will schedule, I'm sure, another round of tests. Sorry to ramble . . . it's soooo nice to have a place to vent!
