Mag's teacher called today at 11:30 and said suddenly Maggie wasn't feeling well so I went and picked her up.
At first I thought she had a virus. She was pale, looked miserable and said her throat and belly hurt. As soon as we got home she went straight to the bathroom and puked. She was fine immediately afterwards.
She told me she just kept swallowing it back because there's no potty in her classroom to puke in. :sad5:
Now sausage is on the list of foods that don't agree with GERD. Which sucks because she likes it and it's a good amount of calories for her.

Sorry to hear this :sad3: Thats is so sad that she didn't have anywhere to go puke and just kept herself from feeling miserable instead! Poor kid. I hope she is feeling better now!

Awwww...I can't imagine her swallowing it all morning...def tell her that it is MORE than OK to ask the teacher to go to the bathroom if she's not feeling well, Lena. That breaks my heart.

Oh Mag....it's ok to go to the bathroom .....does she think she can't ask....I know kids sometimes think things that aren't so...when Steph was little she was crying one morning she didn't want to go to school...not because she didn't feel well but because it was her day to put out the milk ticket and she didn't know which way the knob turned to open the door and was afraid she would get in trouble or laughed at...
poor Maggie...

I talked to her teacher today and we worked out a plan in case it happens again. She's to tell her teacher if she's refluxing bad & she can go into another classroom that has a bathroom for a little bit. This preschool is so great & caring & understanding, I don't know what I'm going to do next year.

Poor Mag, that it is just not fair that he has to go through this. It sounds like a really good school. I am glad the teacher will work with her.

I'm glad she has a plan now and knows what to do if there's a next time.
Just make sure there's a plan for her at her next school from the first day, and she'll be alright.

You just reminded me... Eric's belching, juiciness, and spitting will start interrupting classrooms. I for sure have to explain THAT one to his teacher so he doesn't get in trouble for it everyday. I can't wait!! (eye roll)

Awww, poor Maggie. She certainly handled it the best she could.

Only once did D's reflux become a problem at school. He puked after lunch and cried, so they thought he was sick. But he was just crying because he was embarrassed. By the time I got there to pick him up, he was fine.
