Robynne ... this may be outside your bailiwick, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
How do you know if your older toddler/preschooler has real mental issues? Since all children exhibit questionable behaviors every now and then, how do you know what the bounds of "normal" are? I feel like we're in a catch-22 with Catherine. We walk on egg shells at times so as not to set her off, but that behavior on our part is in essence condoning and perpetuating her behavior.
Her 3yo check-up is in a few weeks, and I plan to ask her ped about this, but it's always better to go in armed with the right questions to ask and evidence to provide. Thanks.
