Hi there. I haven't posted on this site in a while, but I have a question about acquisition of various speech sounds. My older daughter who was a happy spitter just turned 4 at the end of September. She speaks really clearly but we have noticed that she still can't make certain sounds. One sound that's a problem is "th". Instead she says "st". So for example, the word "think" is "stink". Another is the "rd" sound. She says "awd". So for example "hard" is "hawd". At what point should we consider speech therapy for her? As I said, she is very verbal and for the most part speaks very clearly, she just mispronounces a few words.
Thanks so much for any insight.
