View Full Version : What is the most embarassing thing you watch or used to watch....
scarlet 10-03-2007, 10:45 AM Well I will admit it, I LOVE Buffy the vampire slayer, I own every DVD (though I don't watch them) but if there are re runs I will always watch.
There is a story attached one weekend I was really sick and there was a Buffy Marathon on, so I thought I would watch it, and shock horror I loved it, I thought it would be stupid kill a vampire show, but it had a real plot and was funny.
I do have some buffy figurines, that stay in a box, but that is as far as the addiction goes! I was heartbroken when it ended. LOL OK I am a weirdo!
I'm hooked on Degrassi The Next Generation.
(Leigh would be so proud :evil4: )
scarlet 10-03-2007, 11:01 AM OMG Degrassi Jr High, was my fave in high school, yes Leigh would be proud. It was just so shocking, teen sex and pregnancies...oh my! ROFL I haven't seen the next generation though!
AvasMommy 10-03-2007, 11:02 AM Saved by the Bell...I'll still watch re-runs when I can catch them. And 90210, of course. Dh and I are also addicted to Dog the Bounty Hunter.
manda40475 10-03-2007, 11:48 AM When I was younger? I was like Lindsay. LOL Saved by the Bell, 90210, Melrose Place. Now, I don't watch TV, but I'm a sucker for reality shows. The trashier the better. LOL
Christine 10-03-2007, 12:01 PM I watched Days of Our Lives in highschool and college. I loved Party of Five in college and now I can't fall asleep without watching a Scrubs rerun.

Next Generation hooks you fast...the new season starts THIS Friday on Noggin! (NOGGIN...can you believe that??!! But after 6 p.m. CST it becomes "The N" with more "mature" programming. LOL) I can't wait...even though I'm going to be at the Live/Collective Soul concert Friday night. Thank God for TIVO!

Since you watched the original Degrassi, you'll be interested to know that Snake, Spike, Joey & Caitlin reprise their roles as adults (like our age...ACK) on NG. Snake is a teacher at Degrassi (High School)and Spike is a hairdresser. They end up getting married and Emma, the daughter Spike had as a teenager is now a student at Degrassi herself. (How's that for making you feel OLD?!) Joey is a used car salesman (how appropriate for the "slicky boy") and Caitlin hosts a popular Canadian TV show. They try to rekindle their romance, too.
What's also interesting on NG is that they don't try to disguise the fact that it's set in Canada like they did in the original Degrassi.
Katey 10-03-2007, 12:43 PM OMG, I have not thought about Degrassi JR High in years! I wish I got Noggin. I would totally be checking out the new one.
I am a sucker for the teen dramas. I watched The OC and One Tree Hill. Jim makes fun of me, but he ends up getting hooked every season.
Miori 10-03-2007, 03:24 PM Like Lindsay, we are big Dog the Bounty Hunter fans here too, LOL!
I loved Buffy and Angel...wonder if you will get "Moonlight" over there, Rach? It's a new show that just premiered here about a vampire detective. The first episode was pretty good.

I'll watch lame shows on MTV when I'm bored like True Life and Cribs...but I'm over the Real World. The Denver season did me in. I watched Making the Band with Diddy too. My dh has a fav quote of mine b/c he was jealous and thought I had a thing for Diddy, LOL! :smt036 "I kinda like P. Diddy" with a big smirk on my face.
nikkib 10-03-2007, 03:43 PM i must admit i am a big beverly hills 90210 fan and i recently borrowed the dvds to watch from my cousin!! i LOVE IT. hehe....

stephiehatt 10-04-2007, 01:37 PM Like Lindsay, we are big Dog the Bounty Hunter fans here too, LOL!
Love, love, love "The Dog". When my BIL went to Hawaii last year I told him to get his autograph for me if he saw him. (I also tell my FIL the same thing about George Clooney every time he goes to Vegas for work since George likes to frequent Vegas).
I watch such a hodge-podge of shows, I can't thing of anything that is really embarassing, well, I love to watch re-runs of "Murder She Wrote", I guess that's kind of lame, but I love them!
sixdogssixcats 10-04-2007, 01:47 PM All those cheesy "court" TV shows ... Judge Judy, The People's Court, etc, etc. I rarely get to see them as they're only on during the day here, but I'm home today! :haha:

Oooh, those are good! I remember that the baby nurse/nanny who used to help me w/the boys a couple days a week when I was on maternity leave and I used to watch Judge Judy all the time while we gave the boys' their bottles. Back then it took about 30 minutes for them to eat and it was on at 2PM which was one of their scheduled feeding times so it worked out really well! LOL

scarlet 10-04-2007, 09:41 PM Amy I don't watch it that often but I don't mind Hannah Montanna either LOL
sixdogssixcats 10-04-2007, 09:51 PM LOL ... Hannah Montana is kind of cute. Actually, all the Disney Channel "real kid" (vs cartoon) shows are tolerable. My son likes them.
manda40475 10-07-2007, 10:29 AM My household likes Hannah Montana too. LOL
AllieandJacksProudMama 10-07-2007, 11:53 AM Okay, I've got two.
When I'm home during the day, Jerry Springer. Don't ask me why, but I think it's hiliarious - but I won't watch it if Allie is awake - I don't like her to hear all the yelling.
My favorite show right now is the Girls Next Door - Hugh Hefner's three girlfriends. Yes, they are not the brightest and pretty bimobish, but there is something about that show that I love!

I will also admit that I have watched my fair share of the Girls Next Door. The one thing I can't stand about the show though is Kendra's laugh!
I have been also known to sneak a Jerry Springer, Judge Judy or a Maury Povitch now and again.
I also have had a thing for a few teeny bopper shows like Saved by the Bell, Beverly Hills 90271...45678 (I never did get the actual numbers right) and Drake and Josh.
alwaysangels97 10-07-2007, 09:23 PM LOL 7th Heaven..That had to be the worst show ever aired. Especially this last season. But for some reason I had to watch it every week.
steveangela1 10-07-2007, 09:59 PM I am a Days of our lives addict, I have been since I was in High School.. i used to also watch 90210 and saved by the bell..
I am also a big history channel addict...
Ok, not too original here. Hannah Montana for sure. I've been known to watch HM marathons. I also like Charmed, anything on Discovery or History Channel. Absolutely most embarassing, though, would have to be the Barrett Jackson classic car auctions. DH and I will sit for 8 hours straight watching them auction off old overpriced cars. Just a little dreaming, truthfully.
