Thats pretty scary... its unteling how many other toys will be recalled considering there are a bunch made in china.... I guess that "lead" level blood test they like to run should get done on a reg basis on our kids...

OMG, we have that elmo phone!!!! I am getting rid of it right this minute! Thank you!

Egads, we own the Dora/boots/perrito set, the Sing with me Elmo, Birthday Dora and the Giggle Writer. :-( I just got her the Doras; however, the others were purchased awhile back.

I was also thinking that since all this stuff is made elsewhere, I wonder what else is lurking in the paint, etc. on B & A's toys. Perhaps those granola "earth friendly" made-in-the-USA-with=organic-sustainable-resources toy catalogs I get now and then are worth another look...

Wow...as many toys were on that list, we didn't own any of them. I did consider buying the Elmo and boombox recently though. Not now! Whew!

I'm seriously considering boycotting all products Made In China. I know it will be a MAJOR PITA, but this is just getting to be too much!

Ugh, Aubrey had a couple of those Elmo toys, but we purchased them prior to May 1, 2007, so it's telling me those toys are not affected. Still a bit scary though....

I looked into it more b/c Tressa has the Dora talking house....

Also they are only recalling toys purchased between May 2007 - present (they were manufactured between late April and July 2007)

Interesting observation - at Target today, the toy section had many empty shelves - I'm guessing it's b/c of the recall.

Somehow, we have not a one of those toys! Can you believe how many there were though?!?!? It really does make me wonder what ELSE is contaminated!
