Okay, here's my list...
If I didn't bring Sportacus:

A "personal massager" :evil4:
A boombox
A CD: either Peter Gabriel's "So" or Live's "Distance to Here" (my wedding song's on it)
A handheld video gameOr if I brought Sportacus, then swap the personal massager for a lifetime supply of personal lubricant. (Leave it to me to make this raunchy!)
I'm certainly not Survivorman, am I? But I'd sure have FUN while I was there! :evil4: :evil4: :evil4:

Emily M 07-11-2007, 02:04 PM How about a water filtering system, that way when you run OUT of water, then you can make fresh from the "salt water"
And who is the wise guy???? :rolling: although, I rather like it. Aim, I like yours as well. OOH LA LA... **looks on TIVO for Lazytown reruns** :evil4:

3) a radio
4) pen and paper
5) a gun to kill myself
I would never make it in solitude for too long :hairpull:
Well, Em...if the VB Plaza was working properly, you'd have a new caption with your avatar, but in a weird way your old caption works, too...:evil4:

Rats. B just woke up. My list is forthcoming...
Emily M 07-12-2007, 08:12 AM :rolling:
Well, someone got me anyway. And you are so right, my old caption worked rather well. :evil4: MWAHAHAHAHAAA *stares off into space imagining Julian in only his BVD's on an island w/his Aussie accent*
BVD's, schmeeVD's...we know that's not REALLY what you're imagining! :evil4:
Emily M 07-12-2007, 02:32 PM BVD's, schmeeVD's...we know that's not REALLY what you're imagining! :evil4:
:rolling: well, the male anatomy is NOT that attractive. So.. he would at least need a palm leaf. ROFL....
Your avatar is cracking me up.
Mary, are you finished vomiting? We are waiting on your list. :smt036
manda40475 07-12-2007, 03:37 PM Hmmm...well, if we could use technology:
1) computer
2) cell phone
3) lots of books

5) personal massager

You don't sound like you would be very good at this either! LOL:smt036
Emily M 07-13-2007, 07:44 AM You don't sound like you would be very good at this either! LOL:smt036
yeah, I'm thinking, you either need a really long extension cord or lifetime's supply of batteries. :rolling:
manda40475 07-13-2007, 09:15 AM LOL Nope, I would be lost without my technology. I haven't used my little "friend" in a couple years now, but if I was stranded...ya know? LOL And the one I have at home is rechargable. ;)
Leigh 07-13-2007, 09:27 AM I would not be good at this either. If I can not bring my laptop and patch into IRD I think I would be lost. lol
I suppose if I had to rough it I would go with:
1. A waterproof material
2. super duper sharp and durable knife
3. A two way wireless crank radio so I could scream for help if someone was closeby
4. A soccer ball... wait, that has been done already...I will settle for my library, bookcases and all
5. flint rocks so I could make a fire.
Funny thing is, I know Bill would be able to do this and I bet his list would be different.
Emily M 07-13-2007, 01:34 PM Leigh, that was pretty darn good.
A soccer ball... is that to make a "friend" ROFL....
Yeah, Chris's list would be different as well.
Let's see, I can probably do his
a small tent that fits in his pocket
a really sharp knife
waterproof matches
a lot of MRE's
and.... hmm... I don't know number 5.
OMGosh, girls, are you talking about what I THINK you're talking about? I mean, rechargeable "Friends" don't sound like the type you stay up late at night chatting on the phone with... *resumes vomiting*
Here's my list:
1. A boat. Preferably a yacht. You know, to go to the mainland for supplies now and then.
2. A fully equipped mobile home. Hey--girl's gotta sleep/eat/pee somewhere!
3. An electric generator. To power the mobile home, of course
4. My CD collection.
5. A lifetime supply of crossword puzzle books. Man, I love those!
Really, I do love camping/the outdoors. However, if I'm going to be alone for eternity on an island, I'm going to do it right. :smt036
Emily M 07-13-2007, 02:13 PM I meant rechargable for her laptop. :rolling:
Why would you be stranded if you had a boat? :haha:
I meant rechargable for her laptop. :rolling:
Oh. Well, thanks for clearing that up. *stops vomiting*
Why would you be stranded if you had a boat? :haha:
Oh, honey, I WANT to be stranded all by myself most days. I'd just use the boat to sneak to the mainland to buy necessities, like toilet paper and jellybeans, then resume my hermit-like existence. :-)
Emily M 07-13-2007, 04:39 PM ROFL... Mary, me too. What I wouldn't give to be all alone on an island. *sigh*
Thinks of sipping coconut milk and no one sitting on me.... ahhh.....
