My daughter had her adenoids out May 8 of this year and we can definetly tell the difference in her especially while she is sleeping. But she still sounds congestioned at times when she is awake. Are we still in the recovery period and we have to wait for her scab to fall out so that she can sound better?

Hi,

"Congested" can mean a lot of things and can be caused by a number of different body parts. The healing should be done by now. Does she have allergies? Does she need or would benefit from a nasal steroid spray?

Ask your doctor about this.
