The last questionnaire got me wondering about them. I love tats and so many of us have them. If you have pics, post 'em here. I will go take pics and put them up. Would love to hear your stories too, where/why you got them, what they mean, etc....

I do not have one but my dh does...I'm sure he wouldn't want it posted though...LOL
I just teased him this last weekend about getting it recolored as it is 25 years old....He got it when he turned 18 ....went and got drunk because that was the legal age back then and got the dumbest tat ever.........it is of a joint standing with arms and legs, a smiling face and smoke coming out the top....tell ya what kind of kid he was:sad3: ..anywho my kids thought it was a carrot for years ...lol many years....it's pretty fade so most people don't notice it...it's on his forearm......yup :sad5: of all the tats he could have gotten that was his choice.......he talks of getting it covered...that will never happen he doesn't drink anymore...LOL

:haha: That sounds great! Too bad he won't let us see pics! I think tattoos on a guy are sexy, but dh hates them - wishes I'd get mine removed. Then again, I don't have anything nearly as fun as an animated joint! Ha ha ha ha

grrrr...this thing makes me so mad...I responded and went back to fix a t to a y and the whole thing disappeared!!!!!GGGGRRRR!!!! I like them on the neck, pecks and forearms.......I think forearms are the sexiest part of a guy...nice strong ones with big veins.....lol??? not bodybuilder ones...yuck...just strong hard working man arms.

So does no one have tattoos or just not willing to share? LOL I didn't respond before because I wasn't on my home computer and couldn't pull up the pics and then I forgot about it.

When I was 23 and my best friend was turning 20, we went and got somewhat matching tattoos for her birthday. Mine is a Tweety angel and hers is a Tweety devil. We both have them on our right ankles. At the time, I was the "good" girl and she was the "bad" one. LOL That switched the next year, but now I think we're about back to where we were then. Tweety was chosen because it was my friend's favorite character, but I came up with the angel/devil idea. Hers is actually completely red with horns and a tail.

I didn't tell x-dh I was getting it done, so when I came home with it, he was actually jealous. He wanted to get one. So our next trip down four months later, Jesse and I got matching tattoos on our right shoulders. It's a red eyed green tree frog. Not much meaning behind it aside from when we first started dating, I used to wear this shirt with a frog on it and he had some plastic tree frogs. I used to buy him froggy stuff in the beginning. Jesse left me the year after we got these tats and I actually considered adding two small ones on either side to represent the kids, but never did.

By the way, dh has a color tribal armband on his left arm that was black/red. We both want more tats, but haven't decided exactly what we want. LOL I did find these Superman designs on Ebay that he has considered combining some of the aspects to put on his right arm. He also thought of adding Spiderman on his left arm to the other tat he already has.

I have one on my forearm. I couldn't even tell you what it is. I was a big drinker and "smoker"(not cigs either) and my brother did it and he was kinda drunk as well. I will post a pic and you all can guess what it looks like b/c I can't begin to tell you.

I don't have one, just thought I'd share a silly story.A girl that use to work at my office had kind of big boobs and they were always hanging out.

Well she had a rose tatoo on her breast and her mother had told her...."when she gets older.....she will have a long stem rose!" :signs121:

My first one I got as a 21st birthday present to myself..."Aquarius" and the glyph for it on my right collarbone. Kind of like this, except picture it all black with the Aquarius in script and the glyph to the right of it so it all runs along my collarbone:

I picked my collarbone because I've always found collarbones erogenous and I wanted an "unusual" placement.

My second tattoo is on my left shoulder and it says "The Commish". I started a Ladies' Poker Group almost 10 years ago (BEFORE the Texas Hold 'Em craze, mind you!) and so the members started calling me The Commish. Well, when I was on a trip to Vegas with the other 4 original members back in 2001, all but 1 of us got a "poker" tattoo while we were there. (The girl who didn't get one didn't have any tattoos, but the rest of us all had at least 1 already.) So mine had to say The Commish, of course, and it's all black except for the "O" in Commish, which is red heart like in a deck of cards. Kind of like this:

Then one girl who has a 5 CARAT wedding set got a Q and a diamond on the inside of her left leg a couple of inches above her ankle

Another girl got a 5 and heart on her left shoulder to signify her love for the 5 original members of the poker group (awwww!)

And the other girl got a Q and a heart on her ankle, just 'cuz.

DH wasn't too thrilled that my tattoo was the biggest, and he's also told me that I'm *done* getting tattoos. Oh, really??!!

Now that our family is complete, I keep thinking about getting a Maltese cross (firefighter cross):

with our last name and wedding date in the middle, DH's initials and birthdate on top, my initials and birthdate on the bottom and the boys' initials and birthdates on the sides. But it would have to be pretty big to fit all that (and be able to read it) and I can't think of a place where I'd want it. So it will probably just be a fantasy. Or maybe I just need to draw it and frame it in my house instead.

this is the chinese character for friendship I have tattooed on my left foot. Several of my college roommates got the same one with me. My very close friend Mickele had it on her shoulder. She was killed in a car accident exactly one year before Roman was born, so now my tat is even more special to me

this is the meaningless, stupid tramp stamp on my lower back. It has no significance and I wish I had waited and gotten something special. The symbol in the middle is my sign (Aries) but I'm not even into astrology, so it doesn't make any sense that I have it. Oh, and I have a big scar on my back in the same spot, and the tattoo just draws more attention to it. More people ask about the scar than the tattoo!

Figured this is a better spot to post.. Only got to see Jerry play once, but did phil tour, other ones, dead, some sci, my husband's into phish so i did a bunch w/ him.. we love music & people. My daughter (step) is 12 and has cerebral palsy, wheelchair bound, so it's hard to get to shows. and well now with neno is totally out..
I'll try to post a tatoo picture, i have elephants around my ankle.
